Recover from an Injury

Get moving again

Recovering from an injury? Is your movement restricted?

The Feldenkrais Method® offers a gentle, comfortable way of becoming aware of and replacing inefficient movement patterns. Once the underlying issue is addressed, the normal, curative processes of the body bring it back into health.

You’ll begin with movements that are well within your comfort zone – no matter how small. In both acute as well as overuse injuries, these lessons allow you to learn to move organically as a whole, leading back to full range of movement.

What People Say...

“Feldenkrais work is innovative, gentle and often strikingly effective at rehabilitating victims of trauma, cerebral palsy, stroke, and other serious disabilities.”

Andrew Weil, M.D., Author of 8 Weeks to Optimum Health and Spontaneous Healing

“After having suffered from severe shoulder problems and surgery, I have found lasting relief with the Feldenkrais Method.”

Gloria Jones, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra

“As a violinist, the Feldenkrais work has not only sped my recovery from injury, but greatly enhanced my sense of physical integrity, ease and grace.”

Ingrid Mathews, Violinist and Music Director of the Seattle Baroque Orchestra

“This is the most sophisticated and effective method I have seen for the prevention and reversal of deterioration of function.”

Margaret Mead, PhD, Anthropologist

“A breathtaking work of genius, the Feldenkrais Methods…teach a person how to liberate oneself from the narrow range of stereotypical movement patterns that we learn in our culture, and to find a wider range of moving, and being. These works have had an enormous impact on the medical practice of physical therapy, since restricted movement patterns are associated with trauma, and freeing them produces significant relief of pain.”

Bone, Breath, & Gesture: Practices of Embodiment by Don Hanlon Johnson

“The Feldenkrais Method is a powerful way to unlock the secrets of our bodies. It allows the linking of movement, expression, and spontaneity, as well as providing an approach to healing physical and neurological injuries.”

James Oldham, M.D.
