Ravi Prabhakar
Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner
Ravi Prabhakar helps people in discovering new ways to move—gently, thoughtfully, and with awareness—so they can find more comfort, ease, and freedom in their bodies and lives.
Over the past decade, Ravi has worked with people from all walks of life—those recovering from injury or neurological conditions, as well as actors, athletes, and high performers looking to reconnect with themselves and expand what’s possible.
About Me
The search for a lasting solution to my own chronic pain led me to the Feldenkrais Method®—a turning point that reshaped not only my movement but my entire approach to learning, growth, and well-being.
Through my work I help you shift long-held patterns, reduce pain, and uncover new freedom, resilience, and confidence in how you move and how you live.
Together, we explore what’s holding you back and discover new ways of doing what you want.
And new directions start to take shape—whether it’s playing your sport with greater ease, aging with vitality, performing with presence, or simply feeling more at home in your body and in your life.
If you’re ready to explore what’s possible, I’m here to guide your way.
Services
Private Lesson
This is a one-on-one, hands-on session, tailored to your needs.
The practitioner uses gentle, non-invasive touch to guide your body through movement.
It’s fully clothed, collaborative, and often deeply relaxing—like a conversation through movement.
Group Classes
Done mostly lying down on a mat. Students follow verbal instructions that guide them through a sequence of gentle, structured movements with many variations.
The aim is to sense how easy or difficult each option feels.
By the end of the lesson, a once difficult movement often becomes much easier.
Hear From My Students
“In working one-on-one with Ravi, I am delighted to say that the Feldenkrais method is allowing me to experience walking steadiness, better coordination, improved balance, less vertigo, a sense of my body in space that I did not previously have, and a nervous system that feels much more relaxed and calm.”
“Ravi is an approachable teacher that makes learning anatomy and functional movement accessible to a beginner! His classes have helped me build more awareness of my body, my movement patterns, and where I hold tension and emotions. I love his encouragement to always be looking for options that offer a little more comfort or ease, which have also helped me look out for comfort in other areas of my life. Give his classes a try!”
“Ravi brings a solid background as an athlete, as well as an engineer to his Instruction. He is a patient and understanding teacher. Just come to class! Ravi can teach you how to feel better, move easier and look better doing it!”
