Aruna Padmanabhan
Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner
Aruna Padmanabhan helps women in midlife and beyond regain confidence in their bodies after injuries, surgeries or life changes. Through the Feldenkrais Method she helps them feel more comfortable in their bodies so that they can move freely and live fully.
About Me
Midlife is no walk in the park. At times it feels as if you are living in a stranger’s body, full of unexpected and uncomfortable changes.
My training in the Feldenkrais Method helped me navigate this difficult and unpredictable phase, bringing me to a place where I was able to seek the medical care that was appropriate for me.
When life throws you a curveball in the form of an injury, surgery or midlife changes you lose confidence. Despite the best medical care you feel there’s something missing.
That missing piece is often a sense of connection to your own body.
I offer simple, powerful ways to help you rediscover ease, rebuild trust in your movement, and feel whole again.
Services
Private Lesson
This is a one-on-one, hands-on session, tailored to your needs.
The practitioner uses gentle, non-invasive touch to guide your body through movement.
It’s fully clothed, collaborative, and often deeply relaxing—like a conversation through movement.
Group Classes
Done mostly lying down on a mat. Students follow verbal instructions that guide them through a sequence of gentle, structured movements with many variations.
The aim is to sense how easy or difficult each option feels.
By the end of the lesson, a once difficult movement often becomes much easier.
Hear From My Students
Aruna’s Feldenkrais class is awesome! It’s helped my plantar fasciitis way more than I expected — I used to get pain after just 30 min of walking w/o arch support, and now I can go for hours! Aruna’s crazy knowledgeable about the body and makes it fun to learn and experiment. Highly recommend!
I went for an introductory workshop not knowing what to expect. I left feeling so relaxed, mind body and soul. For the simple movements it somehow really relaxed my whole body. Aruna , the instructor had a very good voice and presence.
Aruna is a skillful and intuitive practitioner. As a yoga teacher and foot reflexologist I know my body well, and yet my work with Aruna has expanded that knowledge even further!
