Private Lesson
This is a one-on-one, hands-on session, tailored to your needs. The practitioner uses gentle, non-invasive touch to guide your body through movement. It’s fully clothed, collaborative, and often deeply relaxing—like a conversation through movement.
Many students notice improved coordination, reduced strain, and a greater sense of ease in everyday activities following individual work.
Group Classes
Done mostly lying down on a mat. Students follow verbal instructions that guide them through a sequence of gentle, structured movements with many variations. The aim is to sense how easy or difficult each option feels. By the end of the lesson, a once difficult movement often becomes much easier.
Classes are intentionally kept small so we can closely observe what each student is doing. This allows the guidance to be adjusted in real time, meeting students where they are and ensuring they receive meaningful benefit from every class.

Is The Feldenkrais Method Practical?
It’s a fair question because Feldenkrais doesn’t look like your typical exercise class. The movements are small. There’s no sweating, no reps, no rules. Sometimes, it even feels like nothing is happening. So how does this seemingly subtle method translate to real-life...

In a recent email, I wrote: “There is no one right way to move—only your way, explored with awareness.” One thoughtful reader replied: “If that’s true, does that mean slumping forward with my head down and rounded shoulders is perfectly fine—because it’s ‘my way’?...
Is Awareness Enough For Change?
After my last email, “What is the Feldenkrais Method, Anyway?”, I received a thoughtful reply from a reader who had taken my recent series on getting to know your hip joints. She wrote: “Awareness is important. But it is not enough. Smokers are aware of the dangers of...
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Feldenkrais Method?
The Feldenkrais Method Feldenkrais (phonetically: FELDEN – KR – ICE) is a gentle, movement-based approach that helps you improve how you move, feel, and function. It uses mindful movement and body awareness to reduce pain, improve mobility, and support overall well-being.

How is this different from other therapies?
Unlike traditional exercise or therapy, the Feldenkrais Method focuses on learning how you move rather than strengthening or stretching muscles. It works with your nervous system to create new, more efficient movement patterns—often leading to lasting changes without strain or effort.
Is this safe after an injury or surgery?
Definitely. The Feldenkrais Method is gentle and adaptable. It meets you where you are, helping you rebuild movement patterns without pushing through pain. Many people use it to support healing and regain confidence after injury, illness, or surgery.
